That experience of novelty/familiarity was interesting enough that I also sought them out when I moved to New York, but that turned out to be a mistake: the NYC location is in an Urban Outfitters and my coffee was like $9. I’m glad to learn that I’m not the only one who found that to be true of Intelligentsia out here! I so rarely go there now, because this is Silver Lake and there are several other great coffee shops EVEN CLOSER and without that line. And yes, the chilaquiles are truly awesome.
